Insite Investigations conducts thorough investigations into suspected intellectual property theft, working to identify what was taken, who took it, how it was removed, and where it went. Our investigators are experienced in the behavioral indicators that often accompany IP theft: employees who suddenly become secretive about their work, who access files outside their normal scope of duties, who are known to be interviewing with competitors, or who resign abruptly without explanation.

Our investigative process may include surveillance of the suspected individual — both during and after their employment — to document meetings with competitors, visits to competing businesses, or other activities inconsistent with their obligations to your company. We conduct background investigations and business record searches to identify undisclosed relationships, competing business registrations, or financial interests that may explain the motive for the theft.

We also investigate non-compete and non-solicitation violations — cases where a former employee is actively working for a competitor or soliciting your clients or employees in violation of a signed agreement. These cases require prompt, well-documented investigation to support injunctive relief or damages claims.
