With over 16 years of investigative experience, Patrick Ong has led more than 1,000 investigations involving child custody disputes, infidelity, corporate fraud, insurance fraud, locating missing persons, and other complex civil and criminal matters. He combines traditional investigative techniques with advanced surveillance technology — including covert cellular-based hidden camera systems and GPS-assisted surveillance — to uncover critical evidence for individuals, law firms, insurance companies, and businesses.
Investigative Databases & Resources
A major component of Patrick's investigative work involves access to sophisticated investigative databases and information systems generally restricted to licensed private investigators, law enforcement agencies, government entities, and other credentialed professionals. These resources allow him to conduct comprehensive background investigations, locate individuals, identify addresses and associates, research assets and business affiliations, verify identities, and develop investigative leads that are often unavailable through conventional public-record searches.
Training & Foundation
Patrick's investigative career began under the mentorship of the former head of the Oakland County Homicide Department, where he gained invaluable hands-on experience and exposure to investigative techniques used in serious and high-stakes cases. That early training helped shape a methodical approach centered on evidence development, documentation, corroboration, and attention to detail. Patrick has also attended multiple continuing education courses throughout the United States concentrating on open-source intelligence, surveillance techniques, TSCM (technical surveillance countermeasures), and fraud investigation.

As a licensed Professional Investigator in Michigan, Patrick has collaborated with attorneys throughout the United States, providing investigative support in matters originating in Michigan's state and federal courts. His experience includes surveillance and counter-surveillance, divorce and child custody investigations, infidelity cases, corporate and employee fraud, insurance fraud investigations, identity theft, comprehensive background investigations, missing-person and locate investigations, asset research, and other matters requiring discreet and professional fact-finding.
